A crank adjustable height desk is raised by turning a crank in one direction, and lowered by turning it in the other. The crank connects to the lifting mechanism, which is hidden inside the desk frame. Operation is relatively simple; however, adjustment takes a while, with one inch of movement requiring 5 or 6 turns. If you plan to raise and lower your desk often, we recommend an electric sit-to-stand desk. Read more about the advantages of an electric adjustable-height desk on our blog.
