F.A.Q.

  1. How do I know if I should get the regular sized Evoluent or the small?

A good rule of thumb (or hand, as it were) is to measure your wrist to the end of your middle finger. If the measurement is less than 7", go with the small.

  2. If my hand size is right at 7" should I go the small or regular sized Evoluent?

If your hand measures right around 7", we recommend going with the standard as it tends to fit most people.

  3. Does one size fit all on this mouse?

No, the Evoluent Vertical Mouse 4 is offered in two sizes, regular or small.

  4. Can I order a non-Bluetooth version of the Evoluent mouse?

Yes, you may order the Evoluent Vertical Wired Mouse and still get all of the same ergonomic benefits as the wireless version.

  5. How does this mouse help me, ergonomically speaking?

A standard mouse will twist the bones in your forearm as you mouse. The Evoluent Vertical Mouse keeps your arm and wrist in a more neutral, or handshake position, to ease the stress of mousing.

  6. Do I have to load a driver onto my computer before I can use the Evoluent?

Yes, you will want to load the driver onto your computer so that you can customize the buttons of the mouse.

    Helped my RSI

Posted by Chloe on Aug 17th 2012

I was suffering from RSI in my wrists and so I bought the vertical mouse. It took me about a day to get used to, but once I did I found that it helped. The pain did not completely go away so I also purchased a Wacom tablet and now I alternate between the two and am relatively pain free.

The only thing I found, and this might be because I am a girl, was that the mouse requires your hand to be quite high up and leaves your wrist hanging. I bought a Fellowes gell wrist rest and put some felt on the bottom so it slides around when I move the mouse and it seems to do the trick. All in all this is part of the solution to RSI.

    Evoluent 4 Right hand mouse

Posted by Robert Hara on Jul 23rd 2012

I have purchased the regular-sized wireless right-handed mouse by Evoluent and the small-hand sized wired right-handed mouse by Evoluent. I cannot say enough about these ergonomic wonders. My wife has one at work, as well. Once you get used to the handshake approach you can't go back. This mouse is the best!!!!

    Didn't Help with Carpal Tunnel

Posted by Lisa M. on Jun 25th 2012

I absolutely love this mouse! Unfortunately though, I bought it to help with carpal tunnel problems. The pain in my wrist and right side of my hand is significantly better but the pain in my thumb down into the palm is significantly worse to the point where it always hurts. If you're looking at this mouse to help with carpal tunnel, don't spend the money.

    Great product!

Posted by Tanya on Jun 19th 2012

After just a few days of use, the pain in my hand completely went away.

I thought it would take some time to get use to a vertical mouse, but I didn't notice the difference after a couple of days.

I'm very happy with this purchase!

This product comes standard with a 2-year warranty.
