The NPS5000 series chair is available with your choice of six different seats so you can select the size that best fits your body size as well as the seat contour you prefer. Neutral Posture's medium and highly contoured seats spread your body weight more evenly than a traditionally contoured seat, reducing the pressure points that come from sitting for long hours. Other customization features allow you to design a chair that will precisely meet your needs. The NPS5600 is the most popular and well-suited for 90% of the population.
Every model within the NPS5000 chair series includes:
- A contoured mid height back for exceptional upper back and lumbar
support - Air adjustable lumbar support
- Adjustable back height and angle
- Adjustable arm height, width and 360 degree armpad rotation
- Plastic outer shell on back (can be upholstered as an upgrade)
- Forward tilt-stop standard on multi-function mechanism w/ seat slider

Mechanisms
Choose from two different mechanism that determine the adjustability and range of movement for your chair. The multi-function mechanism tilts from the center of the chair and offers additional ergonomic adjustments. The knee-tilt mechanism rocks from just under the knee, and when used in conjunction with the back angle adjustment, can rock further back allowing you to take a break and reduce the pressure on your spinal discs. The knee-tilt comes standard with a shorter cylinder than the multi-tilt and this is necessary to tilt way back without pressure on the back of your legs.

Seat
Neutral Posture offers a variety of seats and seat contouring to suit your needs. The reason for considering a more contoured seat is that a contoured seat better fits your bottom, better distributing your body weight, reducing the chance of pressure points. Contouring also encourages you to sit back in your seat for better posture and reduced upper body stress. We recommend that most users select at least a moderately contoured seat.
If you'd like a softer seat or a further reduction in seated pressure, your seat can be ordered with a layer of N'Dulgent memory foam. If you're ordering one of the minimally contoured seat, we strongly recommend adding the N'Dulgent foam.
Back
- Choose from a plastic shell or a fully upholstered seat back.
- Add a thoracic support to encourage good posture and reduce upper body pain
- Optional N'dulgent Memory foam adds a layer of "cush" for a softy, cushiony feel without compromising support
- Chair can be ordered without seat slider and lumbar support. Call for details.
Arms

Neutral Posture Nextep™ -
Wide, stable platform that fully supports your feet providing for ergonomic positioning of the feet and legs. Perfect for drafting height chairs. Can hold up to 400 lbs and is both depth and height adjustable. Fits over existing footrings and will fit most other stools. Use more than one to create a "staircase" to your seat.
Fring™ -
Rests on your chair base allowing you to rest your feet and maintain a healthy, open ankle position.

Stitching options -
