The UPLIFT V2 Frame and the UPLIFT V2 Commercial Frame

Click here to learn more about the differences between the UPLIFT V2 Frame and UPLIFT V2 Commercial Frame.

The UPLIFT V2 Frame features a height range of 25.5" - 51.1" with a 1" desktop installed. This popular frame is remarkably sturdy, quiet, and comes with advanced features found in UPLIFT V2 desks alone. This frame was even selected as the "Best Standing Desk" by Wirecutter.

The UPLIFT V2 Commercial Frame features a height range of 22.6" - 48.7" with a 1" desktop installed. It also has a lower starting height, a lower max height, and a wider overall height range than the UPLIFT V2 Frame. This contract-grade frame meets and exceeds ANSI/BIFMA durability standards, while also meeting the ANSI/BIFMA G1-2013 height standard, a standard required by many of the world's largest companies.

The UPLIFT V2 Commercial Frame also supports ideal ergonomic working postures for 5th percentile females through 95th percentile males, in both seated and standing positions.

Patent-Pending Mounting Points for Accessories

Although you might be admiring it for its sleek design, it's what's inside and hidden from view that will change how you think about what sit-stand desks can do. Four dozen independent, patent-pending mounting points let you use your desk in a whole new set of ways with our growing collection of desk accessories. Now you can attach accessories directly to your desk frame, letting you adapt your desk to your exact needs.

With accessories planned for release like desk extensions, CPU holders, and power strips—and even fun accessories like an under-desk hammock—your desk will be ready for pretty much anything and everything.

A quick note: the hammock is only compatible with the UPLIFT V2 Frame. It’s not compatible with the UPLIFT V2 Commercial Frame due to the fact that it interferes with its stability crossbar.

Unlock All of Your Desk's Features with the Advanced Keypad

When you upgrade to the Advanced Keypad, not only do you save time by not having to hold down buttons—you get to enjoy extra features, too.

Work will feel seamless when adjusting your desk thanks to quick one-touch adjustments on the Advanced Keypad's four programmable buttons. Switch between sitting, standing, perching, and all of your postures in a few seconds, giving you the perfect amount of time to move your chair.

Anti-collision sensitivity and keypad child lock are two improved safety features that were added to the UPLIFT V2 to make sure your desk provides only the safest height adjustments. If your desk does come into contact with people or objects, it will stop quickly and slightly reverse, allowing you to remove whatever was in the way. Keypad child lock lets you lock your desk's height, a feature that really comes in handy when there are little ones nearby.

You'll also have the ability to set your desk's maximum and minimum heights, preventing your desktop from knocking into shelves above or file cabinets below.

And to reduce distractions at your desk and in your area, you'll appreciate the Advanced Keypad's auto-dark LED display, which dims the keypad to distraction-free darkness 10 seconds after you press a button.

UPL921 UPLIFT V2 Laminate Standing Desk FAQs

Click here for FAQs for our UPLIFT V2 Frame and UPLIFT V2 Commercial Frame.

  1. How will this desktop hold up?

Laminate is a reliable and sturdy material that holds up well over time. Designed with durability in mind, our laminate options are affordable desktops that allow you to get the look of real wood for a fraction of the price.

  2. Isn't laminate a little dated?

Although laminate furniture has been around for a few decades, times are changing. We work with our designers to create only the most stylish and eye-catching desktops to pair with your UPLIFT V2 Frame. We exclusively offer Wilsonart certified laminates, which come with some of the most diverse finish options around, so you can pick the exact finish that matches your personality and office style.

  3. What are these desktops made out of?

The laminate we use is composed of thermally-fused melamine laminate over 45 lb density E-1 rated particle board core, and comes with a 3 mm PCV edge banding for a clean and seamless look around the edges. All of the layers of the are fused under extremely high pressure to form a solid surface that's durable enough to withstand years of work. And at a full inch thick, our desktops are much thicker than the laminate desktop thicknesses offered by our competitors.

  4. Why isn't my whiteboard desktop erasing completely?

We have found that black dry erase markers tend to perform the best on these desktops. If any residue or ghosting is left behind after erasing the desktop, use Expo White Board Cleaner. If that doesn't remove all of the residue, try 70% isopropyl alcohol. You can also write over the unerased portion with another dry erase marker, let it dry, and then erase it.

  5. Is this desk suitable for sewing?

Yes, our laminate desks are great for sewing and crafting.

  6. Can I add my own desktop to this?

Yes, you can install your own desktop to the UPLIFT V2 Frame.

  7. Will I need more than one person to put my desk together?

You should be able to assemble the desk frame and attach it to the desktop solo. However, you will need two people to safely turn the desk right-side up after assembly.

You rely on your desk to take you to that next level of work in the office. When you're ready to work at a desk that rises to your expectations, we give to you the UPLIFT V2 Laminate Standing Desk. Both Wirecutter's and Forbes's top choice in the "Best Standing Desk" category, this desk raises the bar on efficiency, stability, and innovation, giving you a desk that does more.

    Wonderful desk!

Posted by Laurie on Feb 27th 2015

I couldn't be happier with my purchase and am really glad that I sprung for a larger desk than originally anticipated as well as the programmable panel. The only thing I found annoying was shipping options. Read them thoroughly and look at the costs of each. The desk itself is AWESOME though!

    Pros:
    - simple design
    - easy to use
    - has a good weight capacity (I have two laptops, two large monitors and the monitor stand plus all the usual desk items, papers, etc so I couldn't go with a "flimsy" desk)

Cons: I have no complaints about the desk. The biggest annoyance was the shipping. I had to have it delivered to work to avoid paying hundreds of dollars, then break down the pallet to fit it in my van.

    Response from The Human Solution:
Thank you for your review, Laurie! In order to keep costs down for our customers, we do have free and inexpensive options for home delivery as well. Our residential standard freight delivery is a free option. With this, the delivery agent will park the freight truck in front of your residence, so you can cut the ties on the pallet and take the items off the truck and into your home. For most customers, this delivery method is manageable for two people. If you do not have a friend, family member or neighbor who can help, you can ask the delivery driver to help you lift and move the boxes to your house. Please understand that the driver is not required to assist, but, in our experience, kindness and a small tip go a long way. If you believe you will not be able to lift the items off the truck, we recommend selecting Residential lift gate delivery below. The desktop and desk frame are packaged separately on the pallet, allowing you to break down the pallet and remove each box individually from the truck and into your residence. A laminate desktop weighs about 50 lbs, and a desk frame weighs about 70 lbs. Any accessories you order are packaged separately and easy to manage. Once you are sure all boxes have been removed from the truck (including the desktop, which will be boxed up and protected between two plywood boards), we recommend you leave the pallet and plywood boards in the back of the truck, if the driver agrees.
Residential lift gate delivery is the same as the Residential standard freight delivery described above, but the freight truck has a device to get the shipment off the truck for you. This is an additional $49. As with Residential standard freight delivery, if you want extra help from the delivery driver (beyond removing your boxes from the truck) we recommend kindness and a small tip.

LOVE THIS DESK! OMG! My back pain is already gone..

Posted by Kit E. on Feb 12th 2015

This is my first experience with a standing desk, but so far so good.
There are two ways to use this desk effectively.

    1. When you're doing creative type work - sit down.. relax.. get it done.

    2. When you're doing "busy-bee" type work - stand up.. relax.. get it done.

This is a game changer because the desk is:

    Easy to Assemble
Quality Construction - I love the legs on this thing.. very heavy and sturdy.

Fast Up and Down (so you don't have to wait). It's fast.

    Now - the real reason:
You can't sit all day at a office job and expect your health and back pain to improve. You MUST take action and $699 is a steal compared to the doctor's bill and health problems. It's a very no-brainer tradeoff.

After one day, I can tell.. My back is already starting to improve. ONE F'G DAY!

    Thanks!

    Pros: Easy to Assemble
    Fast Loading
    Quality Materials

Cons: You need a drill for the extra pieces (like the keyboard drawer, the CPU holder).
Still trying to hide the cords (but that's electronics)

    Excellent

Posted by Nerd! on Feb 1st 2015

This desk was easy to put together, and works flawlessly. This is my second desk. This desk is a better price and similar quality. My only complaint is that the desktop (I got cherry) is particle board, and the veneer is unrealistic when looked-at closely. But on the other side, it was very reasonably priced, and you could easily replace with any other desktop you want. If I had to buy another desk, I would pick this one.

Pros: High quality, easy to put together, excellent price
Cons: desktop is fake looking when viewed from a close distance

    great product

Posted by Steven on Jan 25th 2015

I've been using this desk for 3 months now. I purchased 3 grommet holes for cable management and that was a great investment, very easy to route my cables across my desk in the most efficient manner. Desk surface is very nice for a laminate looks like real wood and doesn't feel like plastic. Motor is quiet and has no issues moving the desk up and down at a reasonable speed. If you want to stand a lot make sure you purchase the floor mat. The cable management sleeve is ok but the type of cable ties that comes with the kit were really nice and reusable so i can change my cabling many times without having to use additional ties.

    Pros:
    great computer desk
    good value
    nice quality parts

    Cons:
not a good desk for drawing on due to the 2 leg design. If you erase something on paper the desk has a tendency to shake. This can be bad if you have large monitor because it will shake the monitor and could make it unstable. I just moved my 37" monitor off my desk and fixed the problem pretty easily. A smaller monitor probably would not be as big of a deal.

    Seems to work fine

Posted by Craig S on Jan 17th 2015

I've had the desk only a few months but it seems to be working fine. Putting it together was not too difficult with all of the assembly videos. Definitely helps alleviate my hip soreness and hamstring tightness being able to stand for two or three hours a day.

    Pros:
    Easy to assemble
    Fairly quick raising and lowering

    Cons: None so far

    Excellent desk

Posted by Julie on Jan 10th 2015

We bought this desk not only for its sit/stand capability but also because several people have to use it (and they are quite different sizes). It took a little while to assemble, but everything works wonderfully well. I am now considering recommending them to professional contacts!

Pros: Sturdy, easy to assemble (with correct tools), excellent adjustments and also very nice looking.

    Worth every dollar

Posted by James on Jan 8th 2015

I bought this desk about a month ago, after reading about the benefits of standing desks. I spend 7+ hours per day at my desk doing computer work, and it was starting to take a toll on my body. My back would hurt at the end of the day, and I just felt lethargic after a day of work - ironic, because I was just sitting. After doing some research I decided to get a standing desk, but I was not sure about which one to get. I debated getting a cheaper model, but I wanted something that would last and that would be easy to use. This was an expensive purchase for me, and I wasn't sure because it seemed extravagant. However, once I started looking at it as an investment in my health, I decided to take the plunge and ordered this desk, along with several of the accessories.

Let me tell you, it was one of the best decisions I have made. My productivity immediately went up, and I was able to recoup the money I spent in about two weeks because I could put more time in to work. And at the end of the day, my body isn't tired, my back doesn't hurt, and I still have plenty of energy.

Now, I'm sure this would be true of any standing desk that is functional, so let me take a minute to describe this desk, in particular:

The desk arrived via freight delivery in several boxes (two for the desk, more for the accessories). It took me couple of hours to assemble everything and get my computer set up with the cable management system (an optional accessory). Assembly of the desk itself took about an hour, but that also included time to figure out where I was going to attach the optional accessories - keyboard tray, CPU holder, and monitor arms. I was also going slow to make sure I didn't mess it up - I think if I had to do it again, I could assemble it in 30 minutes or less.

Once it was assembled I tested it out. It worked perfectly, with no problems. The motor is quiet and smooth - just a "whirring" sound as the legs extend or retract. It has four preset heights, and programming the controller was easy. I only use two, one for sitting and one for standing, but I am sure the other two would be useful if another person used this desk as well. The controller display is bright and easy to read, and gives the desktop height in inches from the floor.

The construction is solid. I was concerned that the desktop might be cheap laminate. It is laminate, but it is high-quality - very dense, the veneer is thick and waterproof, and the seams don't look like they will separate any time soon. The desk is stable. I can get it to wobble a little when it is near its max height, but it would take some effort to knock it over.

The legs are made of steel and are very solid. They telescope, with each section fitting snugly into the next. They appear to have Teflon inserts to allow them to collapse smoothly without the need for oil or grease. The motors are housed at the top of the legs. They operate smoothly and appear to be well-constructed, at least from the outside. The power supply attaches to the underside of the desk and it comes with adhesive-backed ties to keep the cables out of the way. The power supply is heavy - usually a good sign of reliability.

My main concerns when selecting a desk were comfort, functionality, and reliability. So far this desk has exceeded my expectations on all three. I won't know how reliable it is in the long term until I've used it for a couple of years, but for now, it seems great.

    Uplift 900 is wonderful

Posted by Ralph Kimball on Dec 28th 2014

My experience with the desk and your company has been 5 stars from the beginning. The ordering website was very complete and the shipment followup was amazing. We did have to give the third party delivery man an extra $20 to come through our gate and up the driveway but that worked! My friend and I put the desk together in about an hour, with casters, and keyboard tray. It was easy. No trouble programming the main default heights. The ability to adjust the height at any time is super important because you need to experiment a little. Also the rubber floor mat is essential.

This desk is very important for my health as I have had serious back surgery and sitting for long periods is my enemy...

This product comes standard with a 7-year limited warranty.
