    Sorry I Bought This Model

Posted by Jim Kellen on Jul 26th 2017

First time taking the plunge on an office chair this expensive, should have listened to my gut and not order online. Took the plunge on one of these high end ergo chairs due to lower back issues from sitting at pc all day.

I do feel weird being forced to better posture in the chair which I supposed will pass and I will get used. Definitely seems back is MUCH better supported in this chair over my old comfy chair I had.

45 minutes or less in this thing though the butt REALLY hurts, never had this issue with any chair before so very aggravating after dropping $650 on a chair. Leather seat is too hard or something, wish I had gotten the dang mesh seat as well but was afraid of lastability. I also don't like how it feels like half your rear end is sticking out the back of the seat with no support, like the seat is too short in the back or something. Not a big either and don't have a big butt so kind of strange to me.

All and all for the price I am pretty disappointed in this purchase:-(

    Great Lumbar Support

It's nice having such good lumbar support while sitting all day.

    Backrest too low

Posted by Donna on Sep 8th 2011

The backrest on this chair is too low for a person taller than 6'. My Husband is 6'3" and the lumbar support hits him on his sacral bone. I believe a design flaw due to the addition of the thick seat cushion vs the mesh seat. It raises the body too high for a proper fit even at full chair back extension. The headrest is too low as well and does not reach curve of neck in back. Both the backrest as well as headrest could have benefitted by more length adjustments.

    Very Good Chair

Posted by Jeff on Apr 30th 2011

As others have noted, this is a really, really good chair. The quality of the build, the amount and types of adjustments you can make are fantastic.

I would only have one minor complain with it. The head rest can be both extended and pivoted for comfort. However, I'm 6'4" and even at the full extension and pivoted back as far as it will go, the back of my head partially rests on the metal framing of the head rest and not the actual mesh, which is slightly uncomrfortable. If the head rest either extended another inch or so, or pivoted backwards another notch or 2 it would be absolutely perfect.

Other than that I love this chair and don't foresee having to purchase another one or another type for a long long time.

    Great chair!

Posted by Josh on Mar 15th 2011

The level of comfort and amount of adjustment is excellent. I would certainly recommend it, the slightly high price is worth. Plus the warranty is great.

In regards to me taking 1 star away there are few negative things that are minor. I wish the armrests were padded with leather and if they were longer that would have been better for me. In addition the seat cushion is a little on the firm side. I guess compared to all the other chairs I have used throughout my life. Keep in mind what I am saying are MINOR complaints I still highly recommend buying this chair.

    For taller people only

Posted by Jon on Nov 17th 2010

I've just assembled the chair in great anticipation of replacing my previous mesh chair. I'm sorry to say that I'm fairly disappointed. While the chair is well-designed and very adjustable, it is definitely designed for taller people. I should have realized that by reading the reviews from customers generally well over 6' tall. I am 5'9" and find the seat slightly too high even at the lowest setting. Perhaps it is the padded seat that makes the difference but the seat post should allow for that extra few inches of clearance that are lost because of the padding.

Because of the height of the seat, I will have to sacrifice my middle desk drawer as the seat presses my quads up against the lower edge.

I am hoping that the Humanscale FM 300B foot rest will provide enough lift to relieve the pressure on my hamstrings.

Overall, I already regret this purchase and I've only had the chair for an hour.

If I can find a resolution, I will update again, hopefully with happier news.

Having said all this, if you're over 6' tall, I think you'd be very satisfied and comfortablw with this chair.

    Fantastic

Posted by Bill on Sep 16th 2010

After searching the web and reading reviews for hours and hours, I believe I have found the perfect chair. I am 6'3' and finding a chair that was adjustable and providing good support has been difficult. This has to be the best value out there, extremely comfortable providing good support well worth the money.

    Buy it ! You'll like it !

Posted by 'Boomer' on Sep 14th 2010

Ordered the chair [on-line] Saturday night. Arrived Wens. at 10 am. Can't beat that for fast service!! OK....I like the chair very much: I'm 5'10", 190 lbs. If you're around those dimensions, the chair will fit like a glove. Very solid, good range of adjustments. For the price, I honestly don't think you'll find anything that comes close. Well worth the price in every respect.

    Most comfortable chair I've tried

    Posted by M.G. on Mar 21st 2010

This is by far the most comfortable chair I've tried. I was hesitant to spend so much money on a chair (and I know there are alot more, even more expensive), but I'm glad I did. I have been having alot of shoulder and neck pain since I am at my computer probably 10 hours a day, and this certainly helps.
