F.A.Q.

  1. How do I know if I should get the regular sized Evoluent or the small?

A good rule of thumb (or hand, as it were) is to measure your wrist to the end of your middle finger. If the measurement is less than 7", go with the small.

  2. If my hand size is right at 7" should I go the small or regular sized Evoluent?

If your hand measures right around 7", we recommend going with the standard as it tends to fit most people.

  3. Does one size fit all on this mouse?

No, the Evoluent Vertical Mouse 4 is offered in two sizes, regular or small.

  4. Can I order a non-Bluetooth version of the Evoluent mouse?

Yes, you may order the Evoluent Vertical Wired Mouse and still get all of the same ergonomic benefits as the wireless version.

  5. How does this mouse help me, ergonomically speaking?

A standard mouse will twist the bones in your forearm as you mouse. The Evoluent Vertical Mouse keeps your arm and wrist in a more neutral, or handshake position, to ease the stress of mousing.

  6. Do I have to load a driver onto my computer before I can use the Evoluent?

Yes, you will want to load the driver onto your computer so that you can customize the buttons of the mouse.

    Evoluent vertical mouse

This vertical mouse has definitively brought some relief in my right arm stress. I bought also a mouse wrist cushion, which was required for aligning my arm and my wrist while using the mouse.
I manage to get use to it quite quickly.

    An excellent mouse

Posted by Benedict on Feb 26th 2016

I have used the vertical mount for years and picked up the wireless one for my office. It is probably the most comfortable mouse. I wear an extra-large glove and I might recommend someone with large hands get the bigger size if possible but that said, the normal size I actually also find quite comfortable. Between this and a keyboard tray, my forearm on my mouse hand almost immediately felt better. This might be the one mouse that you will need and if is breaks (I used my wired one very heavily for going on years), most likely you will just buy another one. It is also linux compatible, though you will have to manually configure your system to map mouse buttons correctly.

    Great tool

Posted by Jl faris on Jan 10th 2015

Just receiver my new evoluent mouse -regular wireless right hand model - and liked the fact that my arm was not twisted and that it removed pressure from the base of my wrist (that occurred when using the older design). Didn't like the third finger button but after three days getting use to this arrangement. Don't like the shiny metal (or is it shiny plastic?) thumb rest. My thumb tends to slip on the shiny surface. Rather that the thumb rest was like the rest of the mouse which has a nice texture. I have a double monitor and found that I didn't have to move the mouse to travel from the far lest side to the fa right side on both monitors. That is great.

Helped my thumb and wrist strain

Posted by Michele on Dec 17th 2014

I am a CAD designer, so I'm clicking and moving A LOT with a mouse. Previously used a track ball mouse to relieve wrist strain. It worked great for a few years then suddenly my thumb joint became inflamed from all the rolling of the ball with my thumb. As my livelihood depends on mouse use, I gave the Evoluent a try. Along with a temporary wrist brace, some ice, and this mouse, within two weeks I noticed reduced pain and weakness overall in my wrist and thumb. It feels a little different compared to my last mouse, as far as dexterity with design work, but no matter...this saved me from doctors, shots, or whatever comes with overuse injuries. Try it!

We have four or five of these Vertical Mouse's and the staff really like them. Much easier on the hand and wrist.

    Great quality and customer support.

I have been using the Evoluent Vertical Mouse 4 wireless mouse now for about two years. I did have a problem with the first one, the wheel stopped working. Customer support was outstanding and sent me a replacement quickly. I use it on a Mac, the drivers and options to change every button works well.

I can't believe I didn't know about this product until now! It has 100% changed how I work for the better. It truly has helped the pain in my hand and wrist get better. I can't see myself using anything else ever again.

This mouse has helped my wrist and hand cramping tremendously. Also the programmable buttons and dpi sensitivity is very useful for me.

This product comes standard with a 2-year warranty.
