Please note that most modern monitors 27" or smaller weigh between 4.5-17.5 lbs with the stand removed. Using a display heavier than the stated weight range will prevent the arm from remaining in a raised position, while using a display lighter than the stated weight range will prevent the arm from remaining in a lowered position. Please determine your monitor weight before ordering.

  1. What happens if my monitor is outside of the weight range of this arm?

Your monitor must be within the specified weight range for the counterbalance mechanism to work properly. If your monitor is too light, the arm will drift upward; if your monitor is too heavy, it will sink. A properly counterbalanced arm and a monitor within the weight range means your monitor will move when you need it to move, and stay in place when you need it to stay in place.

  2. How does this attach to the desk?

The UPLIFT Desk Monitor Arm includes a clamp mount that is compatible with desktops up to 3 5/8" thick. If you have a large grommet hole, you could also clamp the mount into the grommet hole.

  3. What do I do if my monitor is sitting too high or too low and I can't adjust it?

It sounds like you need to adjust the tension on the arm to properly counterbalance the arm to the weight of your monitor. Adjusting the tension is easy, just turn the tension adjustment screw to the right or left depending on whether you need to increase or decrease the counterbalance weight of the arm. We put together a handy video to show just how easy it is to counterbalance your monitor arm.

  4. Do you sell VESA adapters?

No, we do not sell VESA adapters.

  5. Is this your newest monitor arm?

No, this is our original monitor arm and we keep it around because it is so good! The UPLIFT Desk Horizon is our newest monitor arm.

  6. Do you sell extension pieces for the arm?

There are no extension pieces for the UPLIFT Desk Monitor Arm; what you see is what you get. The UPLIFT Desk Monitor Arm already has an impressive reach of 27.5".

  7. Can I mount anything with a VESA plate attachment to this arm?

As long as it falls within the weight range of 4.5 - 17.5 lbs and has a standard VESA 100/75 mount, then it should be compatible. Just be sure to double-check that the dimensions of the arm will also work with whatever you are trying to mount.

  8. Can I use the monitor arm to working standing up at my desk?

The UPLIFT Desk Monitor Arm is not intended to convert your stationary desk into a standing workstation. Although it offers a maximum height of 19.5", this will not be enough to position your monitor in an ergonomic position. Consider purchasing a desktop converter in addition to a monitor arm to create an ergonomic sit-stand desk without having to get rid of your stationary desk.

  9. How is this different from other UPLIFT monitor arms?

This monitor arm stands out thanks to a larger height adjustment range. Check out our Monitor Arm Comparison Chart for a side-by-side comparison of all the monitor arms offered by UPLIFT Desk.

The UPLIFT Monitor Arm is available for monitors weighing between 4.5 and 17.5 pounds. Using a display that is too light or too heavy for the arm will keep the arm from maintaining its position once set. Please check the weight of your monitor to be sure that this monitor arm will work for your setup. If you are unsure how to determine the weight of your monitor, you can contact us for assistance.

Standard Supports 4.5 - 17.5 lb monitor

    My First Monitor-Arm

Posted by William on Oct 29th 2016

I decided to purchase this monitor-arm because it seemed like a safe bet to be compatible with my UPLIFT desk, and I'm glad I did. I no longer am using piles of books and cardboard-boxes to change the height of my monitor.

    Good instructions
    Easy to install

    Great and functional Arm

Posted by Don on Mar 29th 2016

I got this arm when I bought a chair from The Human Solution. I was worried that it wasn't going to hold my monitor, but it actually works perfectly. I had a 27" LED monitor on it, and now I have my LG 34UC87 Ultrawide monitor on it. It still works amazingly and is extremely convenient. I'm looking for another arm right now for my new office and I'm a bit upset that this doesn't have a grommet or bolt option as this is the arm I wanted to get, but it looks like I have to find something else.

Pros: Holds large LED monitors (the LG 34UC87 is 17.6lbs without the stand)
    Extremely versatile in monitor positions
    Helps with ergonomics

Cons: As far as I can tell, it ONLY mounts with a clamp

    Form follows function

Attractively functional. well conceived design, manufacture, etc. great quality throughout.

Cons: swing/height limiter sets would be nice, so you can restrict the full motion for some settings

Makes a Great Microscope Stand Also!!!

Posted by Mark Cravatts on Jan 5th 2016

I puchased this to give my Bausch & Lomb microscope some mobility. It worked out very nicely. All I had to do is purchase some 5" x 5" angle iron, drill 8 holes and tap 4 of them.

Pros: Plenty of degrees of freedom.

    Built very well. Very nice!

Posted by Scott M on May 5th 2015

Built very well, Very nice! I purchased two for my dual monitor setup (27" monitors) and paid half the price of other brands I looked at. I have ergotron arms at work and these are better. Having both of my monitors on individual arms (instead of buying a dual monitor arm) functions well for me since sometimes I turn a monitor to show co-workers and customers and thus need it mounted to the side of my desk. worth the price, Great product easy assembly and adjustment. I work on a 13" Cintiq drawing tablet and I'm always craning my neck to look down at it. I mounted it onto this bad boy and now my drawing experience has completely changed.

    Pros: I'm quite impressed.
Cons: Note that it seemed stiff during setup. Then I mounted my monitor on an arm and it worked perfectly. As soon as it supports the weight of a monitor it becomes balanced, moveable but solid. It has been a big help in my neck comfort and my eyes feel better after looking at the monitor all day.

This product comes standard with a 5-year warranty.
