The luminous quality of each individual monofilament strand creates a translucent effect, while also providing strength and durability.
Silver Check
This brilliant weave of monofilament strands and silver-coated yarns offers resiliency combined with a low-abrasion factor.
Torque
A high-performance weave of nylon, polyester and urethane yarns, originally developed as a protective layer for motorcycle riders.

Humanscale has not yet released the color options of the new mesh fabrics. Below are the styles of mesh available. Once Humanscale informs us of the available colors, we will contact our pre-order customers to let them choose their color.
Seat Fabric - Humanscale Diffrient World Chair
Squiggle: Grade 0
Squiggle is part of Humanscale's Movement collection and features an innovative weave that creates a modern, organic pattern available in 9 rich colors. Can be applied either horizontally or vertically to create a look that is uniquely yours. Designate horizontal or vertical when you make your fabric selection in the drop down menus. Constructed of 100% pre-consumer, recycled polyester.
Wave: Grade 1
This four-way stretch textile with a three-dimensional wave pattern offers a range of brilliant colors taken from nature. It exceeds all standards for contract upholstery.
Vellum: Grade 1
Constructed from a blend of nylon, Cordura and elastic yarn, this four-way stretch textile offers a pleasing texture while providing the extreme durability required for contract environments.
Lotus: Grade 1
This four-way stretch textile is water repellant and easy to clean, making it an ideal textile for healthcare and hospitality environments. Its polyurethane finish with nylon backing boasts a soft texture while offering exceptional durability. It exceeds all standards for contract upholstery and healthcare tests.
Bridget Stripe: Grade 2
Composed of 78% merino wool with polyester and nylon interwoven for strength, Bridget Stripe is soft (not scratchy at all), features brilliant colors and has a soft hand. This stripe may be laid vertically or horizontally. This can be designated in the options field.
Sensuede: Grade 3
Sensuede was developed to be the best and most luxurious engineered suede available. The fauxsuede's soft touch comes from the use of breathable and wrinkle resistant recycled microfibers that are finer than a human hair but are extra-strong, resulting in a very resilient fabric. This material also was selected because of its environmentally sensitive content and manufacturing process.
Cylinder - Humanscale Diffrient World Chair
There are three available cylinders:
- Standard 5"
- Low 3.75"
- Tall 5"
Casters - Humanscale Diffrient World Chair
The Diffrient World Chair has two caster options as well as glides.
- Standard hard casters
- Soft casters for use on hard floors
- Glides for chairs that do not need to roll
Base Caps - Humanscale Diffrient World Chair
Base cap options vary depending on the frame color of the chair:
- Black: Option of standard base caps or brushed stainless steel base caps
- White: Standard brushed stainless steel base caps and translucent casters
