The Steelcase Reply – An Ergonomic Chair Fit for Don Draper, Captain Kirk, and You!

Sometimes a new ergonomic chair arrives in our showroom that all of us cubicle jockeys just have to try out—kind of like a new toy. Last week, number one on everyone’s sit-list was the new slim and trim Steelcase Reply Task Chair.

The Reply features a clean, contemporary design that, if you ask me, fits in somewhere between the mid-century modern style of ‘Mad Men’ and the sleek, futuristic scenery of the new Starship Enterprise (Yeah, I’m a Trekkie … You wanna make something of it?). Modern, clean-line furniture designs don’t often adhere to true ergonomic standards, but the Steelcase Reply is the exception, offering a lean, attractive profile coupled with responsive ergonomic seating features, including solid lumbar support, and a Synchro-tilt mechanism that keeps your legs in an ergonomically correct position.

The Reply is a versatile, comfy, and slick-looking chair that allows for easy integration into any workspace, office, or meeting place.

Adding to the Reply’s attractive design is a large stable of vibrant color options. Outfit it in classic black or grey, or give your workspace a splash of color – my favorite color options are orange, red, and celery (nerdy industry speak for “light green”). The Reply is available in two distinct models: Fully upholstered, and with a light, breathable mesh back, dubbed the Reply Air.
