The Liveback allows the Siento chair back to conform to your entire spine, providing superior support, reducing stress and supporting your posture. Designed by Jorge Pensi, the Steelcase Siento is designed for high-end environments without exposed hard edges that could damage nearby surfaces.
Like all Steelcase chairs, the Steelcase Siento Chair is environmentally friendly. It is built from up to 28% recyclable materials and is 91% recyclable.
Steelcase Siento Chair Features
- Liveback changes the shape of the back of the chair to support your entire spine reducing the chance of lower back sag or a hunched posture which can weaken disc walls, stress back ligaments and cause deterioration of the spine.
- Upper back force adjustment lets you set the amount of resistance to recline
- Upright back lock lets the user switch from a locked, upright position or unlock the seat back and recline
- Synchro-tilt mechanism with adjustable back tension control
- Outer chair back is fully upholstered
- Mid or high back models
- Flexible front seat edge relieves pressure under your thighs, especially when reclining
- Fixed T arms with soft urethane or upholstered pads

The Steelcase Siento Chair is a great fit for short duration sitting that might be expected of an executive that is always running to various meetings. The Siento is extremely attractive and has a design element not seen in most task chairs. The adjustments of this chair are limited; thus it is not an ergonomic chair by my definition. If you are a heavy computer user, look at the Steelcase Leap or Amia chairs.
