We offer three LifeSpan Treadmill models, the TR800-DT3, the TR1200-DT3, and the TR5000-DT3. The TR800-DT3 is recommended for up to three hours of use per day, which is more than enough time for most people. LifeSpan Treadmill Lubricant is the grease recommended by the manufacturer for proper maintainance of the LifeSpan TR800-DT3. The included cable organization tray forms the crux of your wire management solution with a sleek, black design that seamlessly blends with your desk's design and mounts securely to the desktop with two self-tapping wood screws or a strip of included double-sided tape. At 3.6'' wide, this tray is wide enough to accommodate cords, power supplies and the included power strip, minimizing below-desk clutter. While we recommend adding the entire advanced wire management kit for a full cable management solution with the most customization, this wire management tray portion of the kit can also be added to your desk order on its own.
10 self-adhesive wire mounts and 100 single-use cable ties allow for cables to be bundled and pulled taut against the bottom of the desk, eliminating hanging wires.
As your workstation develops over the years, it's likely that you'll need to re-bundle wires for routing or storage inside the wire management tray. A set of 10 reusable cable ties is also included, allowing for modification of cable bundling as needed without needing to replace individual cable ties.
Additionally, the Advanced Wire Management Kit provides a desk-to-wall cable organizer to organize wires running from an outlet or equipment to your desk in a single bundle. The desk-to-wall cable organizer's heavy-duty "spiral" design protects the cables inside from wear and tear, while also allowing cables to be integrated into the organizer or removed from it easily. An included quick wire add/remove tool rapidly and efficiently routes cables into the organizer.
Finally, if you need more power outlets close at hand, or just need an all-in-one power solution, a clamp-on surge protector with USB charger can be added to the Advanced Wire Management Kit or ordered as a standalone product. This unique surge protector features six power outlets with space for two large AC adapters as well as a pair of ports for charging USB devices. Capable of clamping onto any surface up to 1 3/8'' thick, this surge protector can placed nearly anywhere on your desk for convenient outlet access. Please note that this surge protector will not fit inside of the wire management tray and must be mounted on the desk edge.
Grommet holes can be added to your UPLIFT desk to allow for through-desk cable routing or monitor arm mounting, or can include a power grommet with two AC power outlets. The holes will be drilled at the rear edge of your desk on either the left, right or center, or a combination of the three. For custom grommet hole positions, please call us at 1-800-531-3746.
Wire grommet covers feature flip-top tabs that cover the cord slot when not in use. UPLIFT Power Grommets feature two UL-approved power outlets, a small hole for wires, and 58'' cords. These power grommets give you easy outlet access for peripherals, and allow power sources to move up and down with your desk when going from sitting to standing.
The UPLIFT Treadmill Desk can be ordered with optional casters. The casters come in a set of four - two for each leg. They can be locked to keep the desk stationary, but easily unlocked when you need to roll the desk.
Please note: the casters will add approximately 1.5 inches of height to your desk.
The attached stands that typically come with a new monitor are not ergonomic or adjustable; using a monitor arm will allow you to maintain good posture, avoid eye strain, control monitor position and save desktop space. When using a sit-stand desk, we recommend mounting your computer beneath your desktop to prevent cables from being stretched and pulled out of their ports when moving the desk from sitting to standing positions. We don't recommend leaving your CPU on the floor, as most cords aren't long enough to stretch from a computer placed on the floor to the standing height of your desk. While one option is to place your CPU on top of your desk, a CPU holder allows you to securely attach your computer tower to the bottom of your desktop to free up desk space. An ergonomic keyboard tray is an excellent accessory for your UPLIFT desk, giving you the freedom to adjust the height and tilt of your keyboard independently from the desk. A keyboard tray will also relieve the strain caused by over-reaching to type and is an excellent way to manage repetitive stress issues. An UPLIFT Desk is available with your choice of two keyboard trays. The UPLIFT Large Keyboard Tray comes with one, 27'' wide surface for your keyboard and mouse to sit side-by-side. For those who prefer more flexibility, the UPLIFT Switch Keyboard Tray comes with two surfaces: a 19.75'' wide platform for the keyboard and a separate 9'' diameter surface for the mouse. The mouse platform can easily move to the left or right side for ambidextrous mousing, and is also depth adjustable, allowing you to position your mouse closer to your body or farther away without adjusting the rest of the keyboard tray.

We offer several different shipping options for your convenience and needs. Prices may differ depending on the circumstances, but you will always be contacted for prior approval in the event of any pricing discrepancies. Your order ships on a pallet and will typically arrive 2 - 5 business days from shipment, depending on your location. When your order ships, we'll send tracking and freight carrier information, so you can check when it is scheduled to arrive. With the exception of Platinum level delivery, the products will remain in their original packaging with no assembly provided. Freight deliveries do not require a scheduled appointment beforehand. Once you receive tracking, you can call the freight company and ask for the 4-hour window when they expect to be in your area, and you can request that they call you when they are an hour from delivery. If you are unable to receive the shipment, or it has to be held in storage, fees may be incurred.
The delivery agent will pull up to your loading dock or office at ground level. From there, you are responsible for taking the items off the truck and into your business, either with the help of a forklift or a few of your employees. A laminate desktop weighs about 50 lbs, and a desk frame weighs about 70 lbs. The desktop, desk base and any accessories you order are packaged separately on the pallet, allowing you to break down the pallet and remove each part of your order individually. If you do not have a loading dock, we suggest upgrading to Business lift gate delivery below at no additional charge.
The delivery agent will park wherever is most convenient at your business and use a device to get the shipment off the truck and onto the ground for you. Sometimes they will have a pallet jack that, while unable to go up stairs or steep inclines, may be able to move the shipment a reasonable distance. However, for the most part you will still be required to get the shipment up to and into your office.
The delivery agent will park the freight truck in front of your residence, so you can cut the ties on the pallet and take the items off the truck and into your home. For most customers, this delivery method is manageable for two people. If you do not have a friend, family member or neighbor who can help, you can ask the delivery driver to help you lift and move the boxes to your house. Please understand that the driver is not required to assist, but, in our experience, kindness and a small tip go a long way. If you believe you will not be able to lift the items off the truck, we recommend selecting Residential lift gate delivery below. The desktop and desk frame are packaged separately on the pallet, allowing you to break down the pallet and remove each box individually from the truck and into your residence. A laminate desktop weighs about 50 lbs, and a desk frame weighs about 70 lbs. Any accessories you order are packaged separately and easy to manage. Once you are sure all boxes have been removed from the truck (including the desktop, which will be boxed up and protected between two plywood boards), we recommend you leave the pallet and plywood boards in the back of the truck, if the driver agrees.
Residential lift gate delivery is the same as the Residential standard freight delivery described above, but the freight truck has a device to get the shipment off the truck for you. As with Residential standard freight delivery, if you want extra help from the delivery driver (beyond removing your boxes from the truck) we recommend kindness and a small tip.
Limited access locations include schools, military bases, prisons, churches, nursing homes, hospitals, construction sites, storage units, remote farms or ranches, golf courses and country clubs, utility sites, or any business with specific requirements such as certain times when you can't accept deliveries. These locations can vary widely in receiving availability and capability. With a standard delivery, the delivery agent will pull up to your loading dock or office at ground level. From there, you are responsible for taking the items off the truck and into your business, either with the help of a forklift or a few of your employees. You can also upgrade to include lift gate services, in which the delivery truck has a device to get the shipment off the truck and to the ground for you. If any extra charges are incurred, we will inform you as soon as possible and will not proceed with the order until these charges are approved by you.
Estimated Canada freight delivery covers Business or Residential standard freight delivery to most locations in Canada. See above for what standard Business and Residential freight delivery entails. You may be subject to extra fees for remote locations; however, you will be notified by email if such charges occur, and we will not charge your card or ship your order until we receive consent for the additional charge.
Because this is an international freight shipment, it does require a customs broker. If you do not have a broker, we have negotiated better rates with one ourselves and can help set you up with them. Our broker's rate is $125, and they will also need to collect Canadian sales tax appropriate for your province. This freight delivery charge only covers shipping costs; you will be responsible for any duties, fees or taxes incurred. If you would like to provide your own desktop, the UPLIFT 900 Frame Only is available, and is much less expensive to ship to Canada.
If shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or outside of the US, we will contact you with a shipping quote. Your order will not be processed until shipping costs are approved. Transit time and delivery date varies.
Our free standard delivery works well for most people who order our desks. While receiving a freight shipment and assembling your desk may sound daunting, it's actually pretty straightforward. If you have special requirements and need to have your desk assembled or delivered to a specific area or room of choice, the following Platinum, Silver and Bronze white glove delivery options are available. These options require a four-hour delivery window between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM, Monday - Friday. We'll send tracking once your order ships, and, once your shipment has arrived at its destination terminal and is prepared, the agent will call to schedule your four-hour window for delivery, or, in the case of Platinum services, assembly. Deliveries and installation outside normal business hours require prior arrangement and may incur additional fees. Please contact us if you need to schedule delivery or assembly outside of these times, or if your building requires a Certificate of Insurance. COI requirements may result in a fee of up to $50, and failure to alert us beforehand may delay delivery or assembly.
Bronze level delivery means that the delivery agent will bring your shipment up to the first dry area, such as a porch or garage, including up to two flights of stairs (15 steps per flight maximum; contact us for any additional flights). The products will remain in their original packaging with no assembly provided. This service can typically add 3-5 days to your delivery date.
Silver level delivery means that the delivery agent will bring your shipment into your room or office of choice, including up to two flights of stairs (15 steps per flight maximum; contact us for any additional flights). The products will remain in their original packaging with no assembly provided. This service can typically add 3-5 days to your delivery date.
Platinum level delivery includes delivery to your room or office of choice, as well as assembly of the desk and any desired accessories, including de-trashing services. This excludes chairs and wire management kits, any electrical or component hookups, or any other products ordered separate from this listing that ship separately. Please note that Platinum level delivery can add up to 1-2 weeks to your delivery date. Ordering, shipping, delivery and setup have all been great. I did not like all of the beeping on the treadmill console and a quick online chat session with thehumansolution.com quickly fixed that annoyance. I attached the directions in case you are interested in getting rid of the beeping. I thought about this purchase for months and visited the website dozens of times while I was comparing different setups and brands and I definitely think this is the best setup with the option of sitting, standing or walking with little effort. There is a learning curve while reorganizing your work day and routines, but the benefit is great! Typing and walking is easy, however mousing and walking will take some practice and patience. I purchased the cord management system and monitor arm along with the 70" desktop and treadmill and would recommend highly. I also purchased the treadmill mat but am not sure if I really needed this. Side note: My Garmin Vivofit does not track my steps while I am on the treadmill. I wonder why this is?The treadmill display does track my steps just fine but it would be nice if the Vivofit did as well. Thank you for such a great, well-designed product!

I sit a lot at work and had no interest in joining a gym or taking up running, so I knew I needed to incorporate movement into my workday. I received the desk in early January and have been using it ever since. I walk for 2 hours every day, about 8800 steps. I have 3 pre-sets for the desk height - sitting, standing and treadmill. Everything worked perfectly out of the box. I do recommend that you buy a monitor mount for your desk so that you can move your computer screen from side to side.

The ease of pressing a button to adjust the desk height is a great feature. I'm very happy with the quality of the desk and treadmill. If you plan to work at a variety of heights, the monitor arm is a plus. The online videos were extremely helpful to figure out which options to purchase and how to optimize the wire management system (necessary). My laptop mouse went a bit crazy with electrical interference from the treadmill; this was easily solved by using a wireless mouse. Very happy with this purchase!

I've had this desk for about a month now. Love it. Does everything it says it will. Hardest part about setup is hiding all the wires to your PC after it's installed. But hiding wires is tough on any desk setup as most desks have a nest of wires behind them. Get the advanced wire management kit to make hiding wires possible. It matches my other office furniture almost perfectly. I am completely satisfied.

The desk is really well put together. Great design and looks amazing; better than the online pictures. There is nothing better than getting some exercise while working. Instead of sitting most of the day, I now stand or walk almost 6 out of my 8 hour work day. Working on the computer while walking is a small adjustment...I would recommend some sort of gel wrist rest in order to stabilize your hands while typing. The best thing? You don't even realize you're exercising! It's truly awesome!

This is a fantastic way to get movement into my day. I am a doctor but see patients only half of the time; the other 4 hours are spent doing administrative work on the computer. I got this desk as an attempt to get over the achiness that I felt at the end of 4 hours of sitting in a desk chair. I'm consistently using it 2 hours/day (the other time spent in meetings, where I now often stand!), logging about 8000 steps/day. I have more energy and feel better at the end of my work day. SETUP: Took about 2 hours, with two other people helping some. You need at least two people to get the desk together. It was easy to do with basic tools. DOWNFALLS: Although the LifeSpan fitness club is a great way to track data, the Bluetooth connection is pathetic--you have to have a Bluetooth-enabled device next to the treadmill console all day for it to record the data. The console does not store any data. I am fairly computer-savvy but the instructions were unhelpful, although customer service at LifeSpan was very helpful. I've decided just to manually add in my steps/calories/mileage at the end of every day, since I'm stepping on/off the treadmill a lot. TheHumanSolution went out of their way to ensure that the desk came to me and was great. If you're concerned about cables hanging down in the back, you should probably purchase the extra cable holders called advanced cable management. It does come with basic cable management. I keep meaning to get around to putting up some cable holders of some type but haven't yet, and it's pretty messy-looking. POSITIVES: Really, about everything else. I love it! I have turned my desk chair into a holder for my bag and coat--I never use it except for eating lunch at my desk. I love that I have presets for sitting/standing/walking. The desk is well-made, sturdy, and difficult to scratch or mar. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Once I began using this set up, I was easily walking 3 hours a day. That translates to well over ten thousand steps at 1.5 mph. One thing to consider is working with a traditional mouse was difficult so I switched to a trackball, but I normally prefer the trackball anyway. The Human Solution also told me that the Evoluent mouse works well for precise mousing while walking because you can anchor the side of your wrist (on the boney part) on a gel wrist rest and this will allow you to keep your hand steady. The desk operates very smoothly and quickly goes up and down. It all looks great and I'm thrilled with all of it.

I have to say that using a treadmill desk at work has changed how I think about going to work. I used to be fine with going to work but now I really am happier that I get to walk while I work. I'm averaging about 4 miles per day and walking at about 2 mph. The UpLift Treadmill Desk is working perfectly.

I bought this desk, along with a treadmill and have been happy with it, overall. The shipping was fine, though it took a few weeks before the desk came back into stock. It's a solid piece of furniture, once put together--it feels much sturdier than I thought it would. It looks really great and modern. solid construction and quality materials. The only major issue I had was in taking the hour or so to put the desk together. It's much easier to put this desk together than an Ikea desk. Because I've been traveling, I've only had a chance to spend about a week on the desk and treadmill, but the two work very well together. I found myself walking up to 5-6 miles a day by the end of the week and I suspect that will only go up as I get some practice in.

I was a little disappointed when the desk was on back-order, but the customer service was wonderful with scheduling delivery of the rest of my order to coincide with the desk, and then later to track the delivery. I had the treadmill desk for about 3 weeks now and am up to an hour and a half per day, with a goal of 2-3 hours per day. Typing and reading are no problem while walking, although using the mouse is more challenging.

I am very pleased with the treadmill desk and use it 5 days a week. I get in anywhere from 4-6 miles per day on the treadmill in usually less than 4 hours. I go anywhere from 1.5mph up to 3 mph on it depending on what I am doing. Most of the time I am going at 1.5mph but when the computer needs to run a long task I will crank it to 3mph while I wait for it to finish.

I did a lot of research on sit-to-stand desks before purchasing this one. The Human Solution had the lowest prices I could find and all the functionality works well. I'm super happy with the desk (I got the 79" one) - it's nice looking and has room and support for a heavy printer, two monitors, and assorted other office stuff. However, I was disappointed that the desktop did not come either pre-drilled or with instructions on where to mount the legs/base (I just centered everything, but would have liked to know if there was a better placement to evenly balance the weight). I was very careful when predilling, but despite my best efforts, I still had one screw that went too far in and cracked the top side of the laminate. So, now I have an expensive new desk that will always have a divet.... On the plus side, many companies selling sit-to-stand desks only deliver to locations with a shipping dock and the Human Solution used a freight company that delivered to my residential address. You'll want to have an extra person on-hand to help move the heavy desk and treadmill from where the freight company leaves it. I like having the treadmill, but can't use it for as many hours a day as I thought. I'm usually multi-tasking (doing 1-2 things on the computer, while also being on the phone), and adding the walking is a little too much to handle. But, the treadmill works great when I limit my multi-tasking and focusing on one thing - either a phone conversation or something on the computer. The treadmill isn't silent, but it's pretty quiet hum. I wouldn't use it if giving a formal presentation, but it's fine sound-wise for normal business conversations. The control panel has great, big buttons making it easy to adjust while both working and walking. All-in-all, I am very happy with this purchase and glad to have options to change-up my day - sitting in a chair, sitting on a ball (lowering the desk further than when I'm in a chair), standing (which I do several times a day), walking (which I do ~once a day).

I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It was easy to assemble and now I'm walking when I talk on the phone and I do that a lot in my sales role. It's easy to do simple mouse and keyboard tasks. My son is much better at computers (I'm old) and he has no problem typing whole papers and using the mouse while walking. I recommend this to all.
