I'm always optimistic about the future, maybe too much so. Just like everyone else, my New Year's resolutions fall a little flat by the time February comes around. Maybe even sooner! But this year will be different.
Now I'm working at Human Solution, and I have a couple of ideas for how to make common New Year's resolutions (like getting fit and staying in shape) stick. Here's a quick list of three ergonomic products that can fit effortlessly into your routine and help you stick to your New year's resolutions.
3. A Treadmill Desk will help you lose weight. My colleague Mike just wrote a fantastic post about the calories you will burn simply by walking at a pace of 2MPH per day (a 160 lb person will burn about 200 calories an hour while walking at 2 MPH). Walking while you work is a small tweak with tremendous payoff. Give it a week or so and you won't notice that you're walking while you work -- but you will notice your clothes fitting a little loose.
2. A Monitor arm will help eliminate neck pain and eye strain. I had thought I had vision problems until I started working at THS. Within a day or two, my boss simply tilted and moved my two monitors, which were mounted on adjustable monitor arms, closer to my face, and the problem was solved. Monitor arms also work to alleviate neck pain, whether you are sitting or standing. Whether you have one arm or four, a 5 lb monitor or a 25 lb monster, we can help you. This brings me to my final tool for your new year's resolutions.
1. A Standing Desk will help you increase energy and productivity. Just like the treadmill desk, a standing desk greatly increases your caloric burn throughout the day by encouraging you to stand and move while you work. Not only that, but you will also notice your focus on the task at hand will improve. The adjustable height standing desks we offer allow you to go from a sitting to a standing position with ease. I can tell you from personal experience: I've never been so alert at 3PM as I am with my adjustable height desk.
