The World Cup and Ergonomics

The World Cup and Ergonomics

Posted by Pete A on Jun 13th 2014

Well, it's time again for America's favorite semi-beloved pastime: Soccer. The 20th FIFA World Cup is being hosted in Brazil, and the world is ready to see their nation's best battle it out for 90 minutes on the pitch. The last time Brazil hosted the Cup was 1950; I was only 36 years shy of my birth so I do not remember it too well.

As a fan and ergonomic specialist, I have noticed many players could benefit from some sound ergonomic advice. I hope this post can help soccer players everywhere. That's right. Soccer, not football. Take that every other country!

Headrests

Neck pain can be a serious issue with many people, and getting a chair with a headrest can provide support and comfort. Check out the Ergohuman ME7, which includes a fully adjustable headrest along with other fantastic features.

Fatigue

It happens to the best of us. If you find that you are constantly fatigued, it may affect your performance. Start standing with an UPLIFT adjustable height desk to prevent sluggishness and improve overall health. Standing at your desk for just a few hours a day will improve alertness and productivity.

Back and shoulder pain

There are many ways to relieve back and shoulder pain, but a simple solution would be the addition of an UPLIFT Keyboard Tray to your work set-up. This will relieve the stress placed on your back and shoulders from reaching forward to type on your desk by bringing the keyboard and mouse closer to you. The UPLIFT Keyboard Tray provides a more neutral and natural way of typing.
