How Do You Determine Which Treadmill Model You Need? It’s Easy!

First, congrats on your decision to join the ranks of the work walkers. You're going to love moving at work!

The entire sales and content team here at Human Solution uses treadmills at our desks every day. Our two most popular treadmill models are the LifeSpan TR800-DT3 and the TR1200-DT3. Both come with a tethered console that tracks your distance, calories burned, time spent walking, and total steps taken. Both have a speed range from 0.4 to 4.0 mph, and both are Bluetooth-enabled, allowing you to sync your data with a LifeSpan Fitness Club account.

There are some small variations in size that you may want to take into account. The 1200 is about 4" longer overall and has a slightly larger belt than the 800, which can make a difference in taller users or those with longer legs and longer strides. However, the most important consideration is how long you plan to use your treadmill each day.

The 800 can be used for up to three hours per day, whereas the 1200 is rated for all-day use. Most people find that the 800 is enough to meet their needs. But some people like to walk virtually all day long, and the 1200 is a better choice in that case. You'll also want the 1200 if you're getting just a few walking workstations for employees to share throughout the day.

So that's it in a nutshell! Since all of us in the office have one of these two treadmills at our desks we can vouch for the benefits of an active workplace, and we're happy to answer any questions. Welcome to the walking revolution!
